Biobased Tubs

BIOBASED TUBS

The bioplastic tubs on this page are made of food-safe Bio50+ material. The Biobased raw material is partly based on ethanol that comes from residual waste from sugar cane production. Sugar is extracted from sugar cane through pressings. The first, richest pressing of the sugar cane is intended for consumption. The less rich subsequent pressing is perfect for, among other things, the production of bio plastic. This raw material consists of a renewable material and meets the highest requirements for optimal recycling.

The Biobased material is very recyclable and the recyclability is almost equal to packaging produced on the basis of fossil raw materials (polypropylene). This means that the Biobased material can be disposed of together with the 'normal' plastic waste. By using bioplastic tubs you make a positive contribution to CO² reduction and a greatly increased circularity (both post-life and pre-life). You can recognize the Biobased tubs and lids in the webshop by the I'm green logo.
